Month: November 2013

As I journal my writing life I’m often tempted to just start a story right then and there. I’ve shared my recent adventure with a well-known computer company, and I’ve yet to NOT have someone tell me I should write about that. I want to, but have a little conflict with wanting to do some “removed I” writing first!

I’m planning on submitting one of my Capstone articles into a few contests, for as the lady standing at the counter says as she rubs her dime across the scratch-off, “You gotta be in it to win it!”

THANKING THE GOOD LORD I graduate from Emory next month. One good year, a year well spent! So now I’ll have a little more “gravitas” added to my resume. I know, it won’t work magic…it still comes down to my skills.

So many stories stockpiled. Who knew reading a 1927 edition of my college’s yearbook would yield a great topic?

BTW, fodder for a story:

God has a sick sense of humor! Or is that punishment?

“A rose in a fisted glove”

“An iron fist wearing velvet gloves”

Ok God. As Bugs Bunny once said, “I’ll do it. I’ll probably hate myself in the morning, but I’ll do it!”
